 i've been looking at systems online and i can either buy a whole new decent enough system for about $3000 OR rent it for about $130 per month over 2 years i think. what should i do? |

personally I'd buy - i just hate renting things.
and CRT PWNS LCD anyday! Unless you're wanting to spend stupid money I guess, but I have a CRT at home and I love it...so much cheaper than an LCD that was capable of doing the same job as well. Also, a CRT has the "I'm here...LOOK AT ME" factor...I like that...He's Kind of the Desk...although now he has to share his supremacy with my A3 printer. I'll be quiet now. i've got a 19" CRT at present but it's pretty bulky (and heavy!) and takes up quite a bit of space. so i was considering getting a 19" or 20" LCD to save space which will allow me to use my desk more effectively for my work etc. of course, if i were gonna buy a new monitor, i may as well look into buying a whole new system to last me the next 2-3 years, which is what i normally do when i buy a computer (and this one is 2 years & 2 months old now). anyway, we'll see ... must investigate more.

Mine's a 19" CRT also...I love the fact that it's big. Big things are nice!
